From the lakes of Minnesota to the concrete jungle of NYC I have been everywhere. After a fantastic LA Gay Pride, I took off for the one of my favorite cities, New York. I had a great time and was able to catch up with some old and new friends. I had an amazing dinner with Michael Lucas and went to a history of Gay Porn reading with Jerry Douglas. I met legendary director Wakefield Poole of “Boys In The Sand” fame. What a sweet man.

I walked the streets with RuPaul and let me tell you, she knows the best little shops and hole in the wall places. We talked about season 2 of Drag Race and some of the crazy bitches trying to get on the show this year. I had breakfast with Colton Ford and he gave me a copy of his new Album. I got to spend some time with my Minnesota pal Hauns who was a Weather Gal with me back in the day and is the one responsible for coming up with the name, Chi Chi LaRue.

My week in New York ended with me hosting the big Folsom East street fair. All those yummy leather guys made me a little crazy I must say. I twittered that maybe I should start taking steroids and grow a beard because I am so into those guys these days. I wanna thank my friend Devon for having me back for a second year and if the religious right does not get their way, I’m sure I will be back next year.

It was off to Minnesota next to spend some time with my family up at Perch lake in Northern Minnesota. I forgot how amazingly beautiful it is up there and now I want to buy a cabin. Miss Bradley Picklesimer came along and on the way up to Hibbing, she let out a scream as we passed some wild flowers on the side of the road…LUPINS!!!! Ok, it seems Bradley loves a lupin so we stopped so Miss B. could pick some. It turns out they are a very gorgeous flower and very hard to grow in California. So now I too love a Lupin.

Up at the cabin, we swam, we fished, we swatted flies and BBQ’d. It was a fantastic trip. I DJ’ed at the Gay90’s for Minnesota Pride. Some of the girls I went to High school with came down to say hi and dance with Drag Queens. My Nephew Bryan AKA Red Shag also came and worked it out with his Uncle Chi Chi.

After Minnesota it was back to the woods of Saugatuck, MI and the Dunes Resort. Some of the locals call it ‘Fuck And Suck’ because that what you do there in the woods. The Gays go crazy and run amok for dick. I DJ’ed by the pool on Friday and then did the Tea dance on the 4th of July. DJ Roland Belmares spun after me and it was great to see his cutie pie face. So after all this traveling you think I would want to just stay put in LA but call me crazy I’m ready to go again.

Sister Roma, Jason Sechrest and I will be heading to Seattle for a big fund raiser for the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. I can’t wait to have some coffee in Seattle…
