Chi Chi LaRue to Appear at Cornell University with Blake Riley and Jeremy Bilding
Los Angeles, CA – Channel 1 Releasing is pleased to announce that DJ Chi Chi LaRue will be appearing at “Filthy/Gorgeous,” the annual party for the Cornell University Gay-Straight Alliance, along with C1R Exclusives Blake Riley and Jeremy Bilding.
“Filthy/Gorgeous,” now in its third year is CUGSA’s annual event which brings a little bit of metropolitan queer life to Ithaca, NY, and features some big names from the LGBTQ Community. Alongside Chi Chi LaRue, Blake Riley and Jeremy Bilding, this year’s event will also feature a live performance by lesbian hip hop duo and Sony recording artists, God-Des & She. In previous years, the event has seen performers such as Dangerous Muse, Cazwell and Lady Bunny grace it’s stage.
“I’m thrilled and honored to have been asked to appear at such a prestigious institution,” said Director/C1R Partner Chi Chi LaRue, “The boys and I are really going to give these kids a run for their money and show them what being Filthy and Gorgeous is all about!”
In collaboration with Alternative Breaks, a student organization that runs public service trips over Spring Break, this year’s event will also feature a charity raffle, raising money for Sylvia’s Place, a LGBTQ homeless youth emergency shelter in New York City.
Cornell University’s Gay-Straight Alliance was founded in 2001 and is the largest of seven LGBTQ student organizations under Haven: the LGBTQ Student Union. CUGSA is dedicated to education, outreach, collaboration, and social activities to foster an environment of understanding, respect, and unity between the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning community, and the larger community with the direct support and assistance of straight allies.
“Filthy/Gorgeous” will take place from 10PM to 2AM on Saturday, February 28, 2008 at Willard Straight Hall Memorial Room at Cornell University.
